Earth Breaks New Climate Record for CO₂

A new record for human history: atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have exceeded 430 parts per million, according to data from the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. The planet has not seen anything close to this level in 14 million years, before humans ever existed. This record is not a hopeful one; it showcases the extreme urgency of the climate crisis.

These numbers are not abstract. Higher carbon levels directly increase heat waves, storms, and floods that are already making news headlines. May 2025 was the second-warmest May to date, and more than 4 billion people experienced an entire extra month of extreme heat over the past year. The human-led emissions driving up heat affect food production, health systems, and energy demand.

Despite the active impacts of climate change, the progress towards reducing emissions remains largely slow. Although overwhelming, climate change is not just a global issue; it is a local and personal one too, where meaningful action matters.

At Borrum Energy Solutions, we believe that individual actions spark global progress. Our self-assembly microgeneration wind turbines and towers allow people to take direct, meaningful action. Whether on or off-grid, people can reduce emissions, lower energy bills, and increase resilience right where they live. If just one person generates clean power, it is a victory. But when entire communities do it, it becomes a movement. Fighting climate change cannot rely on governments; it must start with individuals.
