The Anorra: Safe, Reliable & DIY Friendly Wind Turbine
The Anorra wind turbines are designed to meet if not exceed the CSA S37 standard for towers and antennas in Canada. This standard is for ensuring the safety of towers, and if it is not met, towers are unlikely to survive the harshest Canadian weather.
The Anorra wind turbine’s tower systems are engineered to withstand wind speeds up to 189 km/h and survive 25 mm of icing on all surfaces; these standards ensures that the tower system is safe anywhere in the country.
Guyed wires are used to add stability, and they are made of galvanized steel to avoid rust. They are connected to the tower as shown.
The Anorra has a modular tower design; it can be as tall as 22ft to 66ft tall. It has a simple setup process and is DIY friendly. All you need are basic tools, two people, and a winch, pickup truck, or tractor to raise the tower. Check out our assembly and installation infographic of the Anorra wind turbine.
