Integrating Climate Change Knowledge into Degree Programs
The University of Waterloo will integrate climate change knowledge and skills into their professional degree programs. The project aims to enhance the education of future professionals in the Engineering, Accounting, and Architecture fields. Students are going to be able to build more resilient communities and more easily enter careers related to renewable energy by learning the information and skills required to adapt to climate change.
Engineering students will have their approach to infrastructure and design projects adjusted by diving deeper into climate related topics throughout their education.
Architecture students will be better equipped to handle the challenge of making resilient communities including, adapting to natural disasters and dealing with migration and humanitarian issues.
As a company in the renewable energy field, specifically focused on the design of towers and wind turbines. Borrum Energy Solutions, just like Canadian communities, can benefit from the climate experienced professionals that this project is aiming to develop.
